This is a collection of educational maze games, developed by
Hans Zantema, Dijnselweg 146, 3705 ER Zeist, The Netherlands,
email: hansz@cs.ruu.nl.
All of these programs may be freely distributed without limitations.
Comments, or suggestions for extensions are highly appreciated.
The programs run under Windows 3.xx or higher. They are made using
Visual Basic 3.0, and they need the runtime library
vbrun300.dll. This is included in this unzipped file package;
if it has already been installed on your system you may remove it
for saving disk space.
One way to start them is by double clicking on the corresponding
.exe file as you will find in File Management.
You can choose from the following five executable files:
MAZEGAME.EXE covers all four games, starting with a menu in which
you can choose which of the four you want to play.
The four separate games are
MAZE.EXE Every time you play this a new maze is designed, in
which only one way to the exit exists. Six levels and
two lay-out styles can be chosen. In particular suitable
for children below 10 years old.
BLOK.EXE This game called "Block Maze" consists of 28 intellectual
puzzles based on mazes with extra obstacles. Definitely
not only for children.
MICE.EXE The cat has to catch 10 mice in a maze, but the mice
are running away. A combination of reaction and a clever
strategy is required to arrive at a good score. Allows
three distinct levels.
SNAKE.EXE The snake grows and grows, except when eating an apple.
Based on an old theme. Can be played in 5 different speeds.
Develop your own strategy!
